Human Farms

I laugh at those that think that the ultimate purpose in life is to have children. If anything I see it as a DNA reboot – admitting that you did all you could with what nature gave you and now you want someone else to have a shot at it, in the hopes that they will do a better job.

At some point people will realize that leaving descendants means nothing. You are still gonna die alone, your children are still gonna go their own way – you are unique, like it or not. Trying to make things work otherwise is the essence of all domestic disputes. As for the sake of humanity, the planet is already overpopulated, the one mixed race is (will be) a reality as corporations rule the world and well, this is another fine example where quality overweights quantity.

In no case I am claiming that parenthood isn’t important – I’m merely trying to make a point that parenthood should not be the goal for everyone and in fact should be considered (and endorsed) as something similar to farming. From here on I interchangeably use the words “farm” and family”, “farmer” and “parent”, as well as “farming” and “parenting”.

We all appreciate the important role farms have in our society, they absolutely sustain the life for our civilization. We also know that people who end up being farmers are those that have no other options in life or really, REALLY love nature. Admittedly, there are no special qualifications for becoming a farmer – especially in brain activity. All that’s required is commitment.

In that regards, it’s understandable how once you become a devoted parent you can hardly do anything else. After all, they say that having a child is like deciding to keep your heart out of your body…

When they say “residential area” they might as well be saying “human farm”.
